Hot days, warm breezy nights, yup it is beginning to feel like summer! My favorite part of summer is picnics. There’s something about packing up a smorgasbord of foods, comfy blankets and choosing the perfect spot half in the shade, half under the sun. Drinking, eating, lying, reading. Oh, and the first rule to a successful picnic? Shoes. Off. You should never have shoes on when at a picnic, it’s just not right!
This lemonade is a bit different with the rosemary, as it adds a slight earthy and botanical flavor. But trust me it's delicious. With just 3 ingredients (not including water and ice) this lemonade is refined sugar free and you can mix it up in less than five minutes. Pour it in some mason jars, screw on a lid and you’ve got your picnic drinks sorted!
Makes 6 glasses
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 lemons
- 6 cups filtered water
- 5-7 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp bruised, fresh rosemary
- Ice
THE PROCESS:
Juice all four lemons and pour fresh lemon juice into a pitcher. Add water, 5 Tbsp maple syrup and rosemary. Stir and add more maple if you would like it sweeter. If it is too lemony for you simply add more water or ice! Pour over ice and voila!
